You can get to US#1 (Federal Hwy) by either driving south on Gomez to Bridge Road and turning right, or you can drive north on Gomez to Pettway St. (approximately one mile) and turn left. The first light will be AIA, the second light is US #1.
Shopping, Restaurants, Banks, Gas and more ...
- Bridge Road in Hobe Sound
- Stuart is just north of us. Many places of interest along the way. Stay on US #1 North
- “Treasure Coast Mall” and more…. Stay on US#1 north, go through Stuart, and go over the bridge into Jenson Beach (Approximately 12-15 miles north of Hobe Sound).
- US #1… South into Tequesta and Jupiter. It’s only five miles and it is a relaxing ride. You’ll find a 24 hr. Denny’s there and more.
- US #1.. South, turn right at Indiantown Rd. in Jupiter.
We have Wal-Mart’s in three locations ...
- North on US#1 …just before you get to Stuart. Wal-Mart is on the right.
- North of Jenson Beach in Port St. Lucie on US #1 on the left
- South to Indiantown Rd. in Jupiter. This is not a Super Wal-Mart.
- Martin County South Medical Center: Take US #1 north to Salerno St. (Salerno St. is the next light after Cove Rd.). Turn left on Salerno St. and the hospital is about one mile on the left.
- Jupiter Medical Center: Take US #1 south and travel to Jupiter. Turn right (west) on Indiantown Rd. then left on AIA. Travel to next traffic light and turn right. Cross RR tracks and turn a quick left. Hospital is at the next corner on the right.
Public Library and Public Post Office
- Library: US#1 north from Bridge Rd. Library is on right.
- Post Office: US#1 from Bridge Rd. The Hobe Sound Post Office is on the right. Or one may go to Pettway St., travel to second traffic light and turn right (US#1). The PO is on the right on that block.
Travel south on Gomez to Bridge Road. Turn left (east) and drive straight into the public beach parking lot. One may walk this easy one mile. There are benches and tables under a pavilion at this site. Drink in the wonderful salty air and be refreshed and blessed.
Sandsprit Park is off from AIA. Turn right after you cross the tracks here in Hobe Sound onto AIA. You will travel north through Port Salerno and past their small post office on the right. You will navigate around a couple of “traffic circles”. Look for a large sign “Marina” and turn right onto St. Lucie Blvd. After you stay on this street for almost a mile you’ll see the sign for the park on the right. There is no charge here and it’s a lovely spot to relax and watch the water traffic on the river. You’ll find restrooms, benches, pavilions with tables and sidewalks for walking.
Meals served three times a day during the school year. Many activities are held in the cafeteria including student banquets, weddings, and special gatherings. During the 1960’s the cafeteria was the tabernacle.
This is the area between the cafeteria, HIM offices and the Post Office. It was landscaped by the Alumni Association. The HIM office building was the first tabernacle. For several years it was the music hall.
Every student and staff member has a mailbox here. Stamps may be purchased here and letters and packages may be mailed from this location.
This was the first school building on campus. Offices and classrooms were in the middle; girl’s dorm wing to the east; men’s dorm wing to the west.
Frances French Hall (Women's Dorm)
The lobby is used for dorm meetings, parties, dates, and for study. The rooms are off from four halls.
The elementary is on the left, the high school is on the right. Both sides have a library. The college library, on the right, also serves the high school and has a computer lab in it.
Carroll Education Center (CEC)
The church services are held in this air conditioned chapel from March through November. It seats 800. This area is used for chapels, weddings, and many special services.
The sanctuary was completed in February 1983. This is used during camp meeting and for regular church services through the winter months.
There are many classes between the CEC and the Tabernacle. The hallway connecting these two sanctuaries is called the “T-Hall”.
The auditorium is used for high school chapels, large classes and programs. There are many classrooms and practice rooms located here in the Music Hall.
The campus bookstore is at the front of the music hall. School supplies, cards, books, tapes and many attractive gifts may be purchased at this location.
The Herron Center (Administration Building)
College administration offices are here and also two classrooms.
