SiMO

SiMO was very fascinating to me, and I learned so much. It helped expose me to new cultures right here in the U.S.A.
SiMO was two weeks full of exciting activities. I attended different types of religious services: one was in a Hindu temple, another in an African American Baptist church, and also one in a Ukrainian church. The courses I took will help prepare me for what I will face on the mission field. I listened to experienced missionaries who have already "been there and done that," in areas such as culture shock, personality conflicts, and many other things. Hearing those things will help lessen the learning curve once I am in South Africa. The experience was so valuable. I came away exhausted but full of helpful information!
