Family Fun Days 2009

AT THE CRACK OF DAWN on September 26, 2009, the staff of FEA Ministries was up and scurrying around in preparation for the full day ahead. Tents had been erected, children's bounce houses and games were ready, and booths stood waiting for visitors. Excitement was in the air! Shortly after 8:00am, antique cars began rumbling onto campus to find a spot in which to be admired by attendees. The aroma of biscuits and gravy filled the open air. And the day was off to a running start!
This year, we were joined by several new sponsors and vendors. The Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce was represented by several members who participated in the event. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, judges sampled pies in the pie contest, a Chick-fil-A cow wandered through the crowd, clowns appeared, cotton candy and snow cones were enjoyed, and bargain hunters searched yard sale tables for a "deal." Lunch menu items of chicken tenders, BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, and french fries were served at noon.
While it was a time of fun, we pray that lives were touched in our community that may never have been influenced any other way.
