Exodus 17:12 "But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun."

Urgent Request from South Africa
submitted by Stephen & Gwen Geise
 |
We are requesting special urgent prayer for Pastor Thabang. He is the senior pastor of the Manyatseng Ladybrand church. He is also our national leader in South Africa. For some time his wife has been struggling spiritually and has caused problems for him and the family. Currently the family is struggling and if Thabang's wife doesn't get spiritual help the work of God in South Africa will be hindered significantly. Please help us pray about this situation. Thank you. |

Christians and Chinese New Year
submitted by Bradley & Anita Halter
 |
Chinese New Year holiday is 2/2-2/8. Many people return home. Many Christians will face challenges and pressures to participate in home and temple worship events and ancestor worship events. Some will face family persecution if they don't participate.
- Pray for wisdom and strength for Christians throughout Taiwan (and all of Asia) to remain faithful to Christ; to be creative in showing honor and respect to families and ancestors without participating in worship activities and burning incense; to demonstrate Christ's love to their families and friends; to be strong in the face of persecution from families.
- Ask God to protect them from strong influences and pressures; to give them victory and grace during these days.
- Pray that Christ will be lifted up and glorified.

Praise from the Gaults
submitted by Glenn & Stephanie Gault
 |
- Rev. Majola, the president of the youth association in Lesotho reported a wonderful youth conference the first weekend of October. Praise the Lord for the spiritual victories that were won!
- We received a news from the congregation at Popenyane recently. This congregation has gone through some very difficult times over the last year, but God is at work. Many young people have responded to the Gospel in the last few weeks, and the congregation has grown. God is worthy of our praise!

Requests from the Gaults
submitted by Glenn & Stephanie Gault

- Please pray much for Mrs. Tsikane Pheko. She will be going for a brain scan on November 6th. Pray that God will give her doctors wisdom.
- The church secretary in Lesotho sent me a list of evangelisitic campaigns and revivals scheduled for October and November. Please pray for these villages and meetings:
October 29-31 Ha Hlalele
November 12-14 Ha Mokhachane
November 26-27 Popenyane
- Please pray for us as we travel for deputation. In the next few weeks we'll be in Illinois, Indiana, Tennesse, Alabama, and Florida.
- One of the goals of our deputation is to raise money for the Pastor's Assistance Fund that helps to plant new churches in Africa. Please join us in praying for people willing to give towards this fund on a monthly basis.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers. The harvest fields are white and ready for laborers. Prayer is a crucial part of harvesting. Never say that we can "only pray." Prayer is the most effective thing we can do! |

Requests from the Grouts
submitted by Richard & Judy Grout
 |
- Lena Kotenko, our beloved Christian art teacher, children’s worker, and wonderful cook, is very seriously ill with another infection. She has had a series of setbacks this fall, after recovering from chemotherapy last spring. This seems to be the worst bout of infection yet.
- Sidney Grant will be flying from Florida just one day after he returns from meetings in the Bahamas for a tour of Eastern Europe. He and Randall McElwain will begin with a series of meetings during their three-day stay in Russia. These meetings are very important to the future of Vyborg Christian Center.
- Also, prayer for Valera Motovilov is needed as he travels across the burned-out areas of Russia to Vyborg to join the meetings here.
